The Pants Dance
Yeah yeah, it’s hard to believe I’ve been doing these Friday ditties for four-and-a-half years now. Haven’t missed a week, Gin Bottle Garvey. The Keep Your Dukes Up tag came about because that’s what I always used to say to my old buddy Billy Ochoa who was duking it out with cancer. He was always upbeat, optimistic and no-quit, which is what I’ve been trying to do here since the start.
Well, maybe the best “dukes up” story I’ve heard since I got this hootenanny going is about Kelsey Murphy. When Kelsey had to call off her wedding in Italy three weeks before the date, her family and friends did the damndest thing and flew over there to hold a big party anyway.
