Yee Haw

The late great restaurateur and raconteur Andy Yee was married to my sister Betsy’s daughter Sarah. When he married into the family he said he was a Chi-rishman. I let him get away with it. Anyway, Andy’s the guy that turned me onto the plombster-size Polish donut called the paczki (pronounced pooch-key). Every year, Andy would count down the days until the paczki would go on sale at Big Y. Then he’d call and brag about how many he ate.

Paczki season is here again—you can buy ‘em at Big Y ‘til Fat Tuesday—so we thought we’d pay tribute to Andy by bringing in the region’s ace taste-tester Flynn O’Brien. For this hoedown, Flynny hauled in his older brother Shane to help him take these big-ass donuts down. Tune in and see what they think. I think as soon as Rattler Sattler sees this, he’ll leave work and speed to Big Y to snag a coupla boxes. Give it a go, boys.

Keep your dukes up.
