Hello In There.
The past few nights, I’ve been taking a walk around Ashley Reservoir in Holyoke with my daughter Maggie. Ashley is right behind the house where I grew up and I’ve been going there as long as I can remember—from fishing illegally and dodging the Holyoke PD to skipping school and wriggling off the hook with the truant officer. One thing I’ve noticed on my walks this week is that everybody is practicing social distancing. Good job. But no one is saying hello. What the hell happened to being in this thing together? We do need to keep our distance but we don’t have to be afraid to say hello. Or to check in with people we know and see if they’re OK.
You OK?
Keep your dukes up.
