Don’t Quit. That’s The Trick.

Despite how tough this fight is, there’s some neat stuff going on this summer. People are making the most of it. Neighbors are hanging out with neighbors, laughing and having a few. If you didn’t know your neighbors, you do now. The backyard is a real hotspot. Folks are popping up inflatable movie screens and the favorites are GreaseField Of DreamsFerris Bueller’s Day Off and Sandlot

Fire pits are pretty much sold out. Families are spending time together and telling stories. I’ve done that with my kids a couple times, smoking cigars and swapping tales. They still say mine are all made up and I still say every one of them is true, all true.

Speaking of stogies, they are selling like crazy too. A cigar is a good way to relax. And now we’ve got the time to light up a Tony Soprano-sized mambo and sit and enjoy it.

I saw a real good ad for Country Time lemonade yesterday. A full-pager pitching The Littlest Bailout. Country Time is providing $100,000 in economic relief funds to help bail out kids’ lemonade stands that have been impacted by social distancing. Nothing more American than a neighborhood lemonade stand.

So here we are, doing every little thing to get by. I’ve been blowharding every Friday for about five months now. We’ve got a ways to go, but we’ll get there. Keep your dukes up.
