Like A Hawk

Ya gotta hand it to skateboarding legend Tony Hawk. Same way I was a fan of Matchbox cars as a kid, Hawk was big into Hot Wheels. His favorite was the 1964 Corvette Stingray. He loved that little toy so much he bought a real one years later.

Tony says playing with Hot Wheels inspired some of his famous skateboarding tricks. So now he’s teaming with Hot Wheels to inspire the next generation of skaters and support Hawk’s “Skatepark Project” that helps underserved communities create safe and inclusive skateparks for kids. Skateparks get kids off the streets and teach ‘em about grit.

The Hawk/Hot Wheels team-up is a cool line of finger boards, miniature skateboards which you control with your fingers. These new ones actually have snap-on shoes where you pop your fingers in and ride it like a real board. A high-five to Tony Hawk and Hot Wheels for keeping the skateboarding spirit alive. And remember, if you’re looking for good workers, track down skaters. They know how to stick to it.

Keep your dukes up.
