Belly Buster Flynn

Whenever the Mighty Flynn O’Brien goes to the famous Donut Dip in West Springfield (best donuts in New England, Bucko), he brags to his father Gainer that he could take down the plombster-sized donut called the “Belly Buster” no problem. So Gainer finally had the kid put his money where his big mouth is and Flynny gave it a try.

Hey, we know a thing or two about big-time eating. We go back to the start of NYC-based Major League Eating in 1997. The Shea brothers, George and Rich, were the founders. We staged a bunch of events with them which still hold some World Records on their site—corned beef hash, glazed donuts, even green peas. Joey Chestnut set the White Hut cheeseburg record when he wolfed down 52 of 'em—onions in all—at an event we put on at the Big E. The fair’s prez Gene Cassidy and booking ace JJ Juliano were a big help on that one.

So, we know a great competitive eater when we see one—and the Flynn man has the potential to be one of the best. Let’s see how he does with the Belly Buster.

Keep your dukes up.
