Twinkie The Kid
Yeah, a few weeks back I did a ditty on Smucker’s buying the Hostess Twinkies brand. These comfort snacks have made big comebacks with adults lately, probably because the world is wacknuts and they bring back memories of being a kid when your mom would chuck ‘em in your lunch pail.
Speaking of being a kid, when I found out my buddy Flynner—the region’s best-known taste tester—had never tried a Twinkie, I decided we had to change that quick. The last time I recommended something, it was the dreaded fruitcake. And we know how that went. Let’s see if the Twinkie fares any better. Here we go.
