Yeah, Yeah
A lotta times I like to lead off these Friday ditties with, “Yeah, yeah…” Some folks are probably saying to themselves, “Why is the moron doing that?” Matter of fact, it’s a salute to the character Alan “Yeah-Yeah” McClennan from The Sandlot. He played third base with the lads. They tagged him with the nickname Yeah-Yeah because he’d say that at the beginning of everything he said. Hey, there are no bigger fans of nicknames than me and Frank Fitzgerald. The other thing about Yeah-Yeah was he was always chewing Bazooka bubble gum.
The Major League Baseball season started yesterday and The Sandlot was released 31 years ago. To kick off the new season, I’m going to watch The Sandlot again this weekend. Yeah, yeah, that’s right, Bambino. Hey, have a nice Easter.
